Susan Scot confessed to offenses against Mr Coppinger, including the murder of his daughter, Thomasine. Scot attributed her own descent into witchcraft to the influence of two other women, Sweeting and Golding. Her imps were believed to have caused Thomasine Coppinger’s death.
The same Mr Coppinger was named during the trial of Anne Randall, also of Lavenham.
